J57 is a musician / VP of Vomit Face Records.  Rooted in indie hiphop, rapper/producer/singer, J57, got his start working at the legendary Fat Beats (NY) record store from 2004 until it closed in 2010. Mentored by DJ Premier since 2011, his background ranges from hiphop, classical, alternative, jazz, electronic, Americana & more. J57’s very prolific with over 1,500 registered songs on ASCAP and has collaborated with the likes of SID, Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang Clan, The Roots, DJ Premier, Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, Lil B, Westside Gunn, Rich the Kid, Atmosphere, Harry Fraud & many more.  A few years ago, J57 decided to stop focusing on the groups he was in and to go all-in on his solo music for the first time in his 20+ year career as a musician.  J57 designs his genre-bending music to have a positive impact while aiming for a high quality experience for the listener.
